A quick look at any furniture store will let you know that there is a huge array of styles of dressers available to buy and if you are looking online the choice increases probably by a hundred times or more, just take a look at eBay or Amazon.com at the amount of dressers available for sale and you will start to get some idea of the scale of the task. Of course add in the fact that some people may call a dresser a sideboard or a nightstand amongst some other titles and it becomes even bigger. Dressers are available in dark wood such as mahogany for that rich classic feel as well as much lighter woods like maple which give an altogether more contemporary feel. The styling of the dresser mirror you add to the sideboard also plays an important role in the final feel of your furniture. I still remember as a child being absolutely amazed at my grandmothers dresser with its 3 mirrors, the outer 2 of which could be angled so you could have an all round view of yourself. Mirrors like this are still available and can also be styled modern or classically. The type and style of dresser that suits your room will ultimately depend on your other furniture to some degree, it would probably be unwise to invest thousands of dollars in an antique dresser from 1850 if the rest of your room is filled with rattan bedroom furniture. Yes before you ask you can buy wicker dressers as well.
