Inflatable Sofa Beds

What the heck is an Air Sofa Bed, well its does exactly what it says on the tin, its an inflatable sofa bed, yes you heard that right, a blow up sofa that is convertible into a bed. It sounds ridiculous but they do exist. They work in the same way as a typical foam sofa bed in that it is basically two large inflatable cushions joined by a piece of fabric in a blow up sofa styled surround.

I think it will be plain to most people that this type of furniture will have limitations and should probably only be considered for either occasional use or for a temporary solution, it seems that most will suffer from instability and don't really work well as either a couch or a bed, my research has led me to believe that for any sort of permanent use these are not suitable.

The good thing about these air sofa beds is that as well as being cheap they can be really convenient, they are probably going to be the cheapest sofa bed you can find and many come with automatic inflation included. What could be more convenient when having unexpected guests being able to pop out the sofa bed from the bag, flick the switch for inflation and three minutes later your spare room is ready with a sofa and bed. When your guests leave again you simply deflate and pack away until the next time. That is the strength of an inflatable sofa bed and on that basis I can happily recommend them.
